Psalmvertonungen von Chiara Margarita Cozzolani und „Tehillim“ von Steve Reich

Description

The CONTINUUM ensemble, led by the Berlin harpsichordist Elina Albach, repeatedly finds surprising references to the present in early music. This project interweaves psalm settings by Chiara Margarita Cozzolani with a new arrangement of Steve Reich's epic work “Tehillim” (Hebrew for “Psalms”) to tell stories of individual suffering and the emancipatory power of music.“Berlin Tracks - Music of the City in the Konzerthaus” is the name of our new series: in four concerts this season, musicians and ensembles from Berlin will cross paths, bringing together experimental Western classical music from different centuries with styles that all have a home in this city - from folklore to soul to electropop. Berlin Tracks aims to inspire, connect communities and invite you to follow different musical tracks that together make up the soundtrack of our city.
