Description

From classical modernism to contemporary music and from intellectual reflection to playful creativity, Tamara Stefanovich’s new program unites different aspects of her artistic personality. Together with Nenad Lečić, she performs music for two pianos, including Claude Debussy’s Jeux and the 1964 Monologe by Bernd Alois Zimmermann, in which the composer quotes from Debussy’s work. For the concert’s second half, Stefanovich is joined by the members of her avant-garde quartet SDLW (Stefanovich, Dell, Lillinger, Westergaard) in a series of free improvisations that explore how new and unexpected sounds can be created in the moment.
