Berliner Philharmoniker
Organist of Notre-Dame Olivier Latry at the Philharmonie Berlin
Concert
Herbert-von-Karajan-Str. 1, 10785 Berlin

Description
The organ is practically an orchestra in itself. Thanks to its numerous stops, it is possible to create very different sound combinations and timbres – especially when such a virtuoso performer as Olivier Latry, titular organist at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, is at the console. In excerpts from operas by Richard Wagner in arrangements by Edmin Lemare and Charles-Marie Widor’s Fifth Organ Symphony, Olivier Latry introduces us to the full, symphonic tonal splendour of the instrument.
