Der Anfang von Raum und Zeit (The Beginning of Space and Time) is the title of Jean-Luc Lehners’ book, which serves as the focal point of this jazzy and scientific excursion into our cosmos. Fascinating facts and insights about the Big Bang, the speed of light, string theory, and quantum theory are presented in a jazz-infused «Tour de Sience» that is both scientifically sound and entertaining. Musicians from the Big Band of the Deutsche Oper Berlin join renowned physicist, mathematician, and author Jean-Luc Lehners. World premiere!
For over ten years, the Deutsche Oper Berlin BigBand’s jazz series at the Tischlerei has provided special musical encounters in an intimate setting. Each concert combines jazz with lyrics, poetry or insight into the lives of important composers and jazz legends. Curated and presented by BigBand members Rüdiger Ruppert, Sebastian Krol and Guntram Halder. After each concert, you can also meet the artists in person: Artists’ Lounge.
