<div>Als die Deutsche Oper Berlin in Berlin-Charlottenburg am 24. September 1961 wiederer&ouml;ffnet wird, ist Berlin eine geteilte Stadt. Nur sechs Wochen zuvor hatte die DDR-F&uuml;hrung begonnen, die Mauer zu errichten. Damit war die im Krieg zerst&ouml;rte Deutsche Oper f&uuml;r die West-Berliner bis zur Mauer&ouml;ffnung 1989 das einzige gro&szlig;e Musiktheater ihrer Stadt. Ein Musiktheater, dessen Gr&uuml;ndung 1912 auf Initiative der Berliner B&uuml;rger einer kleinen Kulturrevolution gleich kam. Das neue Opernhaus verzichtete konsequent auf ausgestellte Repr&auml;sentationslogen und auf jeglichen Pl&uuml;sch und Pomp.</div>
