One of the most exciting young chamber music ensembles and winner of the 2023 ARD Music Competition, Trio Orelon has appeared at a number of prestigious venues across Europe and made its debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal last season. The three musicians open their new program with Pēteris Vasks’s Episodi e Canto perpetuo. Written in 1985, the piece “describes a difficult journey through the realms of distress and disappointment toward love,” as the Latvian composer has said. Dvořák’s 1883 Trio in F minor provides an illuminating counterpoint.
