After a wild New Year’s Eve celebration, many of us feel like Mary Shelley’s creature Frankenstein the next morning: Freshly assembled, eyes a little glassy, with a head full of wild scenes! Hardly any day is better suited for a festive hangover and a healthy New Year’s stroll than the first day of the year. Under the musical direction of designated General Music Director James Gaffigan , the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin—with the help of actor and jack-of-all-trades Max Hopp —takes you on a wild ride into the New Year: from Joseph Haydn's Chaos from The Creation, to HK Gruber's pop-culture fever dream Frankenstein!! , to the well-deserved Evening Blessing from the pen of Engelbert Humperdinck! Here's to the new year!
