Complementing the string quartet cycle, another Beethoven project this season is dedicated to the composer’s violin sonatas – which will be heard twice, allowing audiences to experience two entirely different musical perspectives. Antje Weithaas and Dénes Várjon, who recently completed an acclaimed recording of all ten works, present them on modern instruments. In April, Alina Ibragimova and Cédric Tiberghien will revisit the sonatas in a historically informed performance.
