Description
In order to create something new together, you first have to get in touch, listen to each other and respond to each other. This is exactly what the popular Arab Song Sessions from the Zig Zag Jazz Club stand for: traditional jam with a bit of party, a bit of surprise, but above all direct musical interaction and improvisation. In the special edition for the Vom Anfangen festival, melodies from Syria, Jordan and Lebanon are interwoven with contemporary jazz and fusion elements. Trance-like beats and hypnotic sounds of Moroccan Gnawa music heat up the atmosphere. Before all the musicians come together on stage in the third part of the session, celebrating and proving the diversity of Arabic musical traditions with surprising improvisations: Everything will be Oud!
