Aja Monet

Aja Monet effortlessly moves between mediums. A poet, vocalist, and activist, her work blends political urgency with spiritual introspection. For her Pierre Boulez Saal debut, she invites the audience on an intimate two-­part journey through sound and word. The first set will feature new, unreleased material from her forthcoming project alongside selected poems from her book Florida Water in a stripped-­down, reflective atmosphere. In the second set, she will be joined by her full band to bring a selection of pieces from her celebrated album When the Poems Do What They Do to life.
