Description
Violinist Julia Fischer, celebrated by audiences as Artist in Residence at the Konzerthaus and since then a frequent guest in a wide variety of constellations, returns this season as soloist with the famous British chamber orchestra Academy of St Martin in the Fields. The programme includes Beethoven's two wonderfully vocal violin romances, Bartók's rhythmically refined Divertimento for string orchestra and Schubert's short „lovely symphony in B flat major“, as friend and patron Leopold von Sonnleithner described the 19-year-old's 5th symphony.
